We are the Urban Libraries Council, an alliance of more than 180 premier public libraries and corporations.  We believe that by sharing strengths, libraries are better able to serve as cornerstones of vibrant communities, deliver innovative programs to educate and enlighten, and build local economies.  We support one another through idea-sharing, research, and programs and industry change initiatives, tailored to the needs of our communities and aimed at preparing libraries to serve the next generation of learners.  United, we are smarter, stronger and more agile in responding to a fast-changing urban environment.  We invite you to explore our virtual home and learn how the members of ULC are leading a revolution in public library service, one that strengthens libraries to build better neighborhoods, more capable communities and enriches the lives of those they serve.
